In 2012, Sean Ragen and Corey Dutko launched the real estate investment firm, Northern Virginia Investments.  In just under a year, they garnered the remarkable 2013 Deal of the Year, awarded by the CAZA investment group, heralding the incredible success of their investment start up.  In addition, Northern Virginia Investments is also developing a unique rental property portfolio that will continue to grow exponentially.

Using their extensive real estate and construction knowledge, this team is able to expertly help homeowners in financial distress avoid the pitfalls of foreclosure while simultaneously ensuring each client is receiving the maximum return on their investment.

Corey Dutko

Corey Dutko is a consummate real estate professional! Starting in real estate at an early age, Corey has zest and passion for real estate that emanates through every transaction and project he completes. Corey began applying his expertise to the real estate industry while attending James Madison University, majoring in business marketing and earning his real estate license at the early age of 18.  From 2010-2011, Corey was recognized as the top-producing buyers agent for one of the Top Ten Realty groups in the country as ranked by the Wall Street Journal.  He achieved this honor by selling over 200 homes and 75 foreclosures during the last six years.  Since 2009, Corey has been personally involved in over fifty real estate investment projects, yielding profits totaling over $3,000,000.  Corey’s expert construction knowledge, gathered from many construction projects, earns his client’s loyalty and appreciation, as well as sizable monetary gains!

When Corey isn’t spending his time advising clients and investing in real estate projects, you’ll find him spending time with his wife, Ryla, a local schoolteacher, and enjoying a wide variety of outdoor activities.

Sean Ragen

Sean Ragen is a true Northern Virginia specialist! Born and raised in Fairfax County, Sean graduated from W.T. Woodson HS, and is an alumnus of Christopher Newport University. Sean began applying his local expertise to the real estate industry shortly after graduating college.  In 2012, Sean was recognized as a top-producing buyers agent for one of the Top Ten Realty groups ranked by the Wall Street Journal.  He achieved this honor by selling over 170 homes and coordinating over 400 real estate transactions during the last six years.  Since 2009, Sean has been personally involved in over 120 real estate investment projects, yielding profits totaling over $7,500,000.  Sean’s significant construction knowledge and know-how earns his client’s loyalty and appreciation, as well as sizable monetary gains!

When Sean isn’t advising clients and investing in real estate projects, you’ll find him enjoying time with his family and friends and attending the wide variety of sporting events the DC metro area has to offer.

Tim Ragen

Tim was born and raised in Northern Virginia and graduated from Annandale High School. After he graduation worked in commercial brickwork for 3 years and then traveled the country for 8 months, working a variety of odd jobs as needed. Tim attended Northern Virginia Community College and received an Associates Degree in business management. It was there that he met the love of his life and wife of 33 years, Cynthia.

Tim spent 3 years working for a local geotechnical engineering firm where he became certified in soil, concrete and structural steel testing and inspection. For the next 25 years, Tim worked for a custom home builder in Howard County, MD where he started as a field superintendent and ended as Vice President of Production. When the company closed in 2012, he had been involved with the design, construction and management of 237 homes. In 2013, Tim began working with Sean and Corey, providing project management services on their investment properties. He joined the team full-time as project manager in 2015.
